Hi!I'm happy to report success with Cyber Snipa Spotter Webcam model (approx 30.- Euro).
VGA resolution, 25 fps, basic picture controls work, image is decent. Macam 0.8.7 on OSX 10.4.7, in a G4 powerbook.
Macam shows: connected to Vimicro Generic QCIF, CIF corrupted images SIF, VGA image OK System Profiler shows: PC Camera: Version: 1.00 Bus-Strom (mA): 500 Geschwindigkeit: Bis zu 12 MBit/s Hersteller: Vimicro Corp. Produkt-ID: 0x303b Hersteller-ID: 0x0ac8 capturing with macam works capturing with quicktime player works skype video *not fully tested, but settings/test ok cheers =:-)f
