My camera is a USB D-Link DSB-C300 (White Version - There is a "Clear Version" as well that has different drivers - it may be a different chip I have no idea.)
This is in fact an OV511 camera - it's hardware compatible with the Creative Video Blaster 3 (in windows you can even use the same drivers). It works reliably in Macam 0.8.7 in powerPC OSX 10.4.7 (12" iBook). The quicktime component also works fine - I tried it in Yahoo Messenger. On my intel iMac (10.4.7 also) it gets a "USB Communication Problem". No hubs are in use, or any other USB devices except the keyboard and mouse. Hopefully this info is helpful - I really would like to be able to use this on my desktop machine, so if there's anything I can do to help out short of mailing you the camera please let me know.
