hi macam,
I figured out that Logitech QuickCam for Notebooks Deluxe
(http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/details/CH/EN,CRID=2204,CONTENTID=11805)
is supported by macam, but the product ID is different.
so in
utilities/USB_VendorProductIDs.h
I added
> #define PRODUCT_QUICKCAM_NOTEBOOK_DELUXE_2 0x08d8 // ZC0302
next to the line
> #define PRODUCT_QUICKCAM_NOTEBOOK_DELUXE 0x08a9 // ZC0302
(has there been another camera with the same name before?)
anyway, by adding to
cameras/ZC030xDriver.m:178
> [NSDictionary dictionaryWithObjectsAndKeys:
> [NSNumber
> numberWithUnsignedShort:PRODUCT_QUICKCAM_NOTEBOOK_DELUXE_2], @"idProduct",
> [NSNumber numberWithUnsignedShort:VENDOR_LOGITECH], @"idVendor",
> @"Logitech QuickCam for NoteBooks Deluxe (2)", @"name", NULL],
my camera is recognized and works pretty fine!
I could not figure out how to switch on the LED - since the basic
spca5xx driver seems not to have this feature.
anyway, when I connect this camera to my mac its just recognized as "USB
Device" by the OS without the LED...
the use with Skype 2.0.0.2 often shows the console message "Invalid chunk!".
maybe this was helpful anyhow.
please let me know if I could provide further testing!
cheers,
michael
