Hi!

I have tried using the webcam-osx/macam application with a "TerraCam
USB Pro" that is listed as "should work" in the "Supported Cameras"
list. It does not work.

It is connected directly to a USB 2.0 port of a PowerMac G5.

System Profiler provides the following info:

USB Camera:

   Version:     1.00
   Bus Power (mA):      500
   Speed:       Up to 12 Mb/sec
   Manufacturer:        OmniVision Technologies, Inc.
   Product ID:  0xa518
   Vendor ID:   0x05a9

A search through the macam sources revealed this:

#define VENDOR_OVT              0x05A9
--and--
#define PRODUCT_OV518                   0x0518
Is it possible that the camera has an OV518 instead of the OV511+?
There is no driver support ("unsupported (no camera)") for the OV518
even though it's mentioned in the sources several times.

If you think that providing my camera will be of help I will
certainly do so!

Thanks

Jan
