Hi, I just acquired the Trust mini high res webcam model # WB-3300p. This camera does not work with macam (yet). It apparently uses the Pixart PAC7311 chip, but is not compatible with the current 7311 driver (I modified the driver to recognize the product code, which webcam now does, but the picture shows only static - on 2/3rds of the screen - the rest (lower) is black. I have a dump of the init-session for the camera on a windows XP box, but it has been 20+ years since I did Unix kernel/driver work, and I'm not up to the task of getting this thing working). The camera identifies itself as a Pixart product, the procuct code is 0x2608.
The specs are (from the Trust web site): Mini USB webcam with high 640 x 480 resolution (300k), digital zoom and built-in microphone Interpolated resolution: 800 x 600 Unique digital zoom function to bring objects 2x closer Self-adjusting clamp to attach the webcam to the screen of your notebook Take pictures quickly by pressing the snapshot button Automatic white balance; Focus range: 5 cm to infinity Maximum 30 frames per second http://www.trust.com/products/product.aspx?artnr=14776&show=1 I'm using the lastest OSX from apple, all fixes applied, macam 0.9.0. If anyone have some quick suggestions to try oput, I'll be happy to do so.
