Hi all, I am having some issues with autoshutter when using macam with a Philips Vesta Fun webcam, model PCVC665K. This uses the SE401 driver in macam (cameras/MySE401Driver.m) with VID 0x0471 and PID 0x030b.
What happens: * Camera image loads OK, and can adjust params in macam, including shutter and gain. * Turning on auto-gain/shutter results in oscillating image brightness... does not appear to converge to a stable brightness level, and oscillates rapidly between dark and light. Also, there does not appear to be any way to adjust the shutter and gain from the QuickTime sequence grabber settings panel produced by macam for this camera. I see sliders for brightness, contrast, and saturation, but no others. So my questions: What can I do (including changing code if necessary) to get a stable auto-gain from this cam? Is is possible to have an external app (using QuickTime SG) to adjust the gain? I am using latest macam from cvs, Mac OS X 10.4.8, on both a MacBook Pro and an old Blue and White G3. Cheers, Phil. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys. Earn Cash.
