Hello!

Just wanted to report that webcams working via macam (v. 0.9.1) DO work if
they are plugged into a USB-hub. This is true if there is other
data-transfer (like moving around the mouse or music playing using an
external USB-soundcard) going on via the USB-system. This is also true, if
you are using a headset plugged into the USB-system - when
video-conferencing etc.

My system is a Mac Mini (PPC, 512MB) running Mac OS X.4.9. I have several
different USB-hubs (one from Belkin) plus a Logitech QuickCam Connect. I
have tested the above using a Microsoft LifeCam VX-3000 and a XA-040 webcam
from X-Tensions as well.

Can anybody here confirm my observations?

Could this possibly be a hint for the developers to what causes the problems
with USB-hubs?

Bye, Torge.
