Hi Sabina,
Does the camera work when you run the macam application?
Make sure it is plugged in directly to the computer.
If this works then you can try a hub etc.
Then copy/drag the macam.component into the
"Macintosh HD" -> Library -> QuickTime folder.
Check that the installation works by running HackTVCarbon.
Do not run the macam application when using other video
applications. ALso make sure to quit and reopen any video
applications after installing the component.
