Hi Marc,

Thanks for the email(s).

I'm thinking that you have the 0x08d8 (USB Product ID)
version of the camera. Hopefully it will be supported soon.

The USB pane of the System Profiler does not automatically
refresh, there is a menu item (I forget which menu) that performs
a refresh. The camera will have a Vendor ID of 0x046d

Thanks,
Harald

Hi there

I recently spent a lot of money buying a webcam for my mac. Now that
they don't make the iSight anymore, I had little choice but to buy a
Logitech. I bought the Quickcam for Notebooks Pro which from what I
had read and was told, would work on my Mac. Alas, not! Please could
you guys help me out!

I have a 12" Powerbook G4 1.5 GHz (machine model 6.8)

The camera is a Logitech Quickcam for Notebooks Pro
On the sticker attached to the cable: M/N:V-UAR38

P/N 861209-0000

PID: LZ626BQ
The official website for the cam: http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/
webcam_communications/webcams/devices/204&cl=us,en

I don't know what to include from the USB pane of System Profile as
the setting seems to be the same irrespective of whether the cam is
plugged in or not?

I see some programmers extend your software to use on their camera
models? Has anyone done so for my model??

I think your site and software is fantastic.

Thanks very much for your help and I look forward to hearing from you.

Marc
