The quick-and-dirty is that I really wanted it for the iChat function to
keep in touch with the kids and grandkids, but while the camera works, it
isn’t recognized by my Mac.

Next step, apparently, is to upgrade to 10.4.9 because Leopard doesn’t look
like it will play nicely with some older G3 PowerBooks, and the Tiger family
pack through my EPP is less than $150.

So, does your crystal ball tell you whether I should cut my losses and
return the camera? Answering any or all that apply would be most
appreciated.
