That is the reason I joined this list last year - also in need of a
pluggable Wicket calendar component.  Unfortunately, that was nearly
impossible to get from webical, so I decided to implement my own.  It is
about 90% complete.  You can see it in production at link [1] below.  It is
also open sourced, and you can find the release at link [2] below.
