Subject: Re: [webkit-dev] Slow scrolling on certain pages

I've figured out that http://www.apple.com/safari/whats-new.html is very slow in scrolling regardless of whether horizontal scrollbar is at the left or not for Safari 4 Public Beta (528.17). It seems like it's related to how aside is implemented. I increased the number of asides and Chrome slowed down considerably. But since stylesheet triggers this problem, maybe it's the combination of certain style and aside that causes it.

This might be related to https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi? id=19650 I played around with the code, and it seems like safari.css is causing the trouble. Adam, are planning to create a new bug?

I'll just add a comment to that one as it does appear to have the exact same behaviour.
