first of all thank you very much for the comments. in fact removing the referer would be one possibility. but i think faking the referer from time to time would be more realistic in the case you visit the same site more than one time.
the best and most detailed way would be if i could set the whole http header by myself. is this possible with the webkit libs/api?
i believe extending a minimalistic browser based on webkit (like "surf" is) with anonymizing functionality is the best way to exercise and develop my skills.
in the end i would like to have a minimalistic browser using text files with a set of different user-agents, referers, etc. which are choosen randomely and hiding my identitiy.
just in the sense of the suckless philosophy (http://suckless.org)...
