I think that nicks are handy in a couple cases: 1. Finding people on Slack. For this, they would probably need to stay on https://webkit.org/team.
2. Bugzilla autocomplete - I type "smfr" and do not need to scroll like if I typed "Simon". This could be addressed by switching to GitHub names in autocomplete code. - Alexey > 24 окт. 2022 г., в 2:13 AM, Anne van Kesteren via webkit-dev > <webkit-dev@lists.webkit.org> написал(а): > > Heya, > > Now that GitHub needs are addressed through a github field in > contributors.json and WebKit moved from IRC to Slack, is there still a > need for the nicks field? > > Based on a suggestion on Slack I'm thinking of removing it from > https://webkit.org/team/ and I might as well clean up > contributors.json at the same time. > > Kind regards, > > Anne > _______________________________________________ > webkit-dev mailing list > webkit-dev@lists.webkit.org > https://lists.webkit.org/mailman/listinfo/webkit-dev _______________________________________________ webkit-dev mailing list webkit-dev@lists.webkit.org https://lists.webkit.org/mailman/listinfo/webkit-dev
