Hi Nayan,

Thanks, this is working for me.
It would be really great if there is a solution to avoid this error, rather than knowing the error during the build process, and then doing make clean and make distclean, and again compiling

Best regards,
Jil

Hi Jil,

I was also getting the same error, I did 'make clean' and 'make distclean' and then compiled again. It worked for me.

Nayan

    Hi,
I think the problem is that the "DerivedSources" directory is not
created at the begining of your build process.
could you create it manually, and retry?
Are you using the the build-webkit script
    under "WebKitTools/Scripts" ?
if you are not could try to use it ?
    regards.

        Hi,

I am trying to build webkit on Linux using gcc (GCC) 4.3.0
        20080428 (Red
Hat 4.3.0-8). Currently I am getting stuck on linking error: ar:
DerivedSources/.libs/JSCSSCharsetRule.o: No such file or directory

I require support for building Webkit on Linux

        Version of WebKit is 1.1.12

        Versions of Dependencies :
        Enchant : 1.4
        Libsoup : 2.26
        Gstreamer : 0.10.24
        LibOil : 0.3.14
        ICU : 42.1

I havent tried to build the revision on buildbots

The commands I have tried are
        ../configure --prefix=/usr
        make

Can you please let me know a solution at the earliest. Or
        Please suggest
the latest version of webkit source that will work fine on Linux.

        thanks in advance,
        Jil
