Hi I doubt Webkit directly supports saving on favourite, though i have not gone through latest webkit source. But it is difficult as this is much to do with platform/port on which webkit is implemented. However you can extract icons from URL or even from HTML source for page.
So, basically you have to device a frame work for adding particular Favicon. A very primitive solution can be - Once a new URL is visited one can extract this and store it in database with corresponding URL. Database can be anything - may be sqlite. for e.g. one can fetch favicon which wil be in HTML as <link rel="SHORTCUT ICON" href="http://www.example.com/myicon.ico"/> THis will certailny be dowmloaded as resource. Then it can be serilized.
