That is correct. I was planning integrating the few events that I
need by implementing them directly.. The current WebCore/bridge code
makes an assumption that if it is a UNIX platform, it must contain X11
libraries, which in case of most embedded devices, is not valid.

Let me connect the dots for you: current NPAPI code on Unix requires
X11, you want DirectFB without X11, but you need the plugin support.
Then you need to search and/or implement plugin infrastructure which
does not require X11.
