Hi Vin,

Currently building QtWebKit with V8 is not supported on trunk, we are in transition of removing our external V8 dependency and moving to the V8 tree shipped with QtScript.

Also, the buildbot for x86-32 Linux Qt V8 (http://www.sed.hu/webkit/qtbuildbot/builders/x86-32%20Linux%20Qt%20V8)has been offline since Mar 8, 2011.

During the transition we ceased to maintain the V8 build, so the V8 bot was switched off. The last QtWebKit version which should certainly work with a git V8 of that time is
r78226 (b8202cec14c7af1bfa99e588a7984cef3bc9b00f)

However this is highly experimental, and only intended for proof-of-concept usage.

I have few questions - Please could somebody answer them for me
a) How do I build QtWebkit with V8? Is there any alternative other than the build-webkit --qt --v8 script?

If everything is going like planned, the experimental feature will be reintroduced some time next week in trunk, unfortunately only with a qt development branch from:

https://qt.gitorious.org/+qt-developers/qt/qtscript-staging

b) I see that the QtWebkit 2.2 release is coming up during June 2011, is V8 supported on that?

It won't support building with V8.

c) Is the Qt bridge working with V8 engine?

Support is supposed to work for the modularized Qt 5, but this is an experiment so there is no ETA.

Andras
