Hello there. We're almost there: this week's release is our first Release Candidate (RC1) of QtWebKit-2.2.0. It's been a long journey and we're quite confident that QtWebKit-2.2 is a high-quality release.
QtWebKit-2.2 has received hundreds of fixes since the branch creation back in May (most of them cherry-picks of fixes from trunk.) It's an up-to-date release, incorporating the implementation of several new specs on HTML(5), CSS(3) and JavaScript, plus many improvements and bugfixes when compared to our previous release. It's also completely up-to-date regarding security problems: all security issues found in trunk since the branch creation (dozens of them) have been cherry-picked into the stabilization branch. If no critical bugs are reported during the next two weeks, we should declare it QtWebKit-2.2.0 final, so tests at this point are extremely important. If your application depends on QtWebKit or you have plans to use it, we strongly encourage you to try this version and give us your feedback (be it positive or negative.)
