In case of google maps it also important if AC is used and what the size
of PixmapCache you have set.

Not much you can do. But have you tried to increase the heap/stack
size of your app? Add this in your .pro:
TARGET.EPOCHEAPSIZE = 0x20000 0x8000000
TARGET.EPOCSTACKSIZE = 0x14000
