That's good to know, since I have been doing the same.
Do you plan to also work on https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=77969 ?
Thanks, Yael

Yael

Concerning support for WK2, I started to implement it yesterday. Status:

a) Notification provider: WIP
b) Construction of provider at webcontext init: done!
c) Set the handler in page client: done!
d) Added Notification support in Permission API (trunk only handles Geolocation
requests ATM): done!
e) Testing QML integration: done!
f) Update Notification manager: WIP

I'm planning late today to open an issue in bugzilla to track the work.

Best regards

Hello,

Recently, Apple made a proposal for changes to the web notifications API [1] .
After some discussion, they started implementing the new API in webkit [2] .

Is anyone using QtWebKit1 with the existing API? If there is no use for that, I
would like to switch to the new API and remove the ENABLE_LEGACY_NOTIFICATIONS
flag.

This is not yet supported in WebKit2, and it will be using the new API only.

Thanks, Yael
