A: Is it a divider or the two, "screen in between" (don't see that as a verb other than Thefreedict "16. (sometimes foll by off) to shelter, protect, or conceal") or B: Is it that the other apostrophe is disguised (thereby adding a transitive verb screen) by doing it? "Thefree (20. to provide with a screen or screens). > If something is screened by another thing, it is behind it and hidden by it. > (collins) to block, protect, or hide someone or something with a screen: > (camb) C: Does it add a new screen atop the (now) enclosed part? (That isn't > screening the other apostrophe, as it were). To conceal from view with a > screen or something that acts like a screen: vocab: partition consisting of > a decorative frame or panel that serve to divide a space So mirrored? Duplicated? Enclosed in? I really couldn't tell you what that means, and the translations I can understand are all over the place.
