I also think mudballs is the best. In addition to what Leslie said
about the indexes, I'd also like to see better grouping - perhaps
group by functionality and subgroup by type? Something like:
Rendering Protocol:
- Widgets:
- ...
- Classes
- ...
- Methods
- ...
- Utility Functions
- ...
- Macros
- ...
Server Interface:
...
Storage API:
...
The groupings could be different. Perhaps mirroring the directory
structure of the sources would be a good place to start. I don't
know. I just think grouping like this would be useful, because when
I'm working on an app and want to do something and don't know how off-
hand, I usually end up scanning all the sources related to a
particular functionality, like rendering. In that kind of scheme,
you'd have some things appear multiple times, but I'd be ok with that.
