I've put my understanding down in my own words here. How would you distinguish this from maintaining state in the widget (what I did) or a database? (I'm trying to ask the question here, so that the comprehension gets crystallized. Its been a while since I looked at the cl-cont code). If this is not the correct question to ask, what would that critical difference be? In a financial system via a stateless protocol, one would have to create idempotent transactions...
