Hi,

In my experience, the problem was related to uffi 2.x release - while
cffi-uffi-compat layer hasn't been upgraded to support the new
version, newer clsql version rely on uffi 2.x. - this obviously fails
when using clbuild.

Quote from clsql's changelog (http://clsql.b9.com/changelog.html):
"2010-04-20 Kevin Rosenberg
        * Version 5.1.0 [DEPENDENCY UPGRADE: UFFI 2.x needed]"

You have probably downgraded your clsql version somehow...

The simplest fix is to install uffi instead of cffi-uffi-compat, but I
suppose that somebody with more understanding about
cffi/uffi/encodings than myself could come up with an update of
cffi-uffi-compat package.
