Hallo,
We have a Mac Os X 10.3 Server which is to have two IP Adresses, one which will be only accessible internally for connection with a database server and another one for access via internet.

This is the current Configuration:
Ethernet Integrated has the Ip, which is only internally available (for the Database)
PCI Ethernet card has the IP, which is to connect to the internet.

This works:
write IP for Internet into webbrowser -> Connect to webserver (we can see the inde.html of the webserver)
WebObjects wotaskd is started and running
Apache has the configs for WebObjects added
JavaMonitor can be opened

Host can not be configured. We did put the openly available Ip into monitor for the adaptor URL (and about every other possible Ip, from 127.0.0.1 to the secound IP), but no luck, we can define a host but it is never available

Test http://IP:1058 -> error message: is reset by host

Questions:
1. Is there anything wrong with the Ip configuration, have both IP's to come over the PCI card to work properly or has the publicly available IP to come via Ethernet Integrated (the existing config, with the two IPs changed over)?

2. Sees anyone something we missed in our configuration? Something we should check or set to make this work. It did work before the machine went to the provider. We had WebObjects running and we could access our Application when started from JavaMonitor (and yes, the host was available then)

Thanks for some hints on this. I can't see what to do next, probably something very obvious I'm missing. The firewall cannot be the problem, can it? WebObjects is allowed there.

Regards

Ute
