Hi all
I'm looking for some advice on a specific problem with a multi-
threaded WebObjects 5.3.2 app deployed under Tomcat 5.0.28, on Java 1.5.
This problem occurs under all tested platforms; MacOSX, Solaris and
Linux.
It problem occurs when the app is deployed in Tomcat, and the 'stop'
action is used in the Tomcat Web Application Manager.
The application is does not appear to be terminated correctly;
threads are left running and WOApplication's terminate() is never
called.
The threads design is a producer/consumer model with non-daemon threads.
The best result would be if I could get a stop/terminate hook where I
could safety finish all the processing threads.
Otherwise I would be happy if I could ensure the stop in Tomcat
actually did stop all threads.
Any suggestions/examples on how to solve this?
Thanks in advance!
ciao
mich
