Everyone,

We have been experiencing a problem with our various WO development
environments, and I'm wondering if this is a known "feature" or some
sort of configuration we messed up. As I mentioned, we have numerous
WebObjects environments running on the same subnet (not on the same
computer, just the same subnet), and each environment has it's own
instance of JavaMonitor running. The apache.conf file is configured to
use a "Host List", which is populated by http://localhost:1085
<http://localhost:1085/> . The problem we are having is that despite
this setting, the various JavaMonitor instances have been discovering
the applications in other environments, and basically screwing things
up. We implemented a workaround by changing the port numbers between
environments (1086, 1087, etc), but this is a configuration nightmare.

Any ideas on why this is happening? Please don't tell me it's a normal
thing... We are on various flavors of WO 5.3, running on OS X and
RedHat Linux.

Thanks,

John
