My option will be installed on Windows server directly, and copy necessary frameworks that created into /Apple/Local/Library/Frameworks. Don't forget about all the jar files to be copied into /Apple/Local/Library/WebObjects/Extensions.

You may not need to use container as deployment, since JavaMonitor works as fine and simple. Unless it is a requirement then tomcat could be used too.

One thing you may need to note is Windows Server 2003 seemed does not allow the WO 5.2.x installation. It is just failed and I have not figure out why, but probably you could then avoid the installation by copying all necessary files manually. That's my guess.

Cheers

Hi all,

one of our customers wants to have his WebObjects application
deployed on a Windows server. Therefore I can think of three solutions:
1. stick to WO 5.2.x forever
2. install WO 5.2.x on the Windows machine and trying to copy the new
frameworks to the server manually
3. deploy in a container (e.g. war) that includes all the needed
frameworks

What are your experiences w/ Windows deployment? Any hints, tips, or
suggestions will be appreciated...

Thanx and cheers,
Edgar
