Does anyone know of a way of specifying a different HTTP adaptor
redirect URL for each virtual host running on the same webserver? We
have several web sites that connect to the same WebObjects
Application. All content is distinctly branded for each site. Well,
all content other than the page returned when instances of the
application fail to respond.
Looking at the source for version 4.5.1 of the adaptor and looking
online, it seems the HTTP adaptor can keep track of at most 1 redirect
url per WebObjects application.
Figure 3-2 in the current release of the WebObjects Deployment Guide
Using JavaMonitor (available at: http://developer.apple.com/documentation/WebObjects/Deployment/Deploying_Applications/Deploying_Applications.pdf
) shows a deployment on one computer with two HTTP adaptors. Is it
possible to have a different HTTP adaptor running for each virtual
host, each specifying different redirect URLs? Failing that, any other
ideas on how best to solve this problem?
I appreciate any suggestions. This is on an Xserve running Mac OS X
Server 10.4.11, with Apache 1.3.33 and version 4.5.1 of the WebObjects
HTTP adaptor. Anyone modified the adaptor source to handle redirects
on a per site basis?
