Yeah, the sticky session stuff sounds a lot like what WOAdaptor does.

It is quite similar. The main difference is that there is no "wotaskd" in the equation which is good and bad.

I wrote an adaptor for WO which vends a standalone WO instance to Apache2 using the AJP13 protocol in exactly the same manner as Tomcat. I think this would be an interesting thing to explore further in the future, but the client for whom it was for was not able to deploy for business reasons in the end. :-(
