Have you referred to the wiki?

We're using freebsd for our deployment servers - using the wo port worked fine.

Lachlan, are you using 5.4.3 or 5.3.3 apps?

Both.

It seems 5.4.3 apps give the problem with SSL connections.

Did you install via the freebsd port as linked above or some other means?

It'll help if you provide some more info about what exactly you've done. FreeBSD version, installation etc.

I see from your original message that you've tried to compile everything yourself via gmake. So where did you pull the sources from for the wo adaptor? Quinton has patched things already in the past for bsd (perhaps it wasn't bsd specific?) so I'd strongly suggest you start over with the instructions on the wiki as linked above.

I just tried to install a D2W WebObjects5.4.3 app with all Frameworks included on a FreeBSD server, trying to get this thing running under SSL. (apache2.2-14. )Not nice.

The moment I try to connect to https://server/apps/WebObjects/Application , it seems the Application gets killed. In the logging I get this message:

pr 20 07:32:50 PSTennis[2015] WARN NSLog - <WOWorkerThread id=3 socket=Socket[addr=/127.0.0.1,port=58052,localport=2015]> Exception while sending response: java.net.SocketException: Broken pipe
