Hi
I'm setting up a number of debian servers in the following manner:
front1 (front1.vm.example.net) - runs apache + adaptor, has app1+2
in WebObjectsConfig
app1 (app1.vm.example.net) - runs wotaskd + javamonitor
app2 (app2.vm.example.net) - runs wotaskd
However, I'm having trouble getting the wotaskds to communicate properly(?).
If started normally, they self-identify as app1/2, and can communicate just
fine with the javamonitor (where they are called app1/2 in hosts), including
launching/stopping application instances. However, I get the following error
in the log ("Error getting address") for app2 (and vice versa):
[2010-01-06 10:03:25 CET] <main> WOLocalRootDirectory set to non-default:
/opt/Local
[2010-01-06 10:03:25 CET] <WorkerThread1> Error getting address for Host:
app1
[2010-01-06 10:03:25 CET] <main> Multicast Response Disabled
[2010-01-06 10:03:25 CET] <Thread-0> Created UDP socket; listening for
requests...
[2010-01-06 10:03:25 CET] <main> The URL for webserver connect is:
http://app2/cgi-bin/WebObjects/wotaskd.woa/-1085
The URL for direct connect is:
http://app2:1085/cgi-bin/WebObjects/wotaskd.woa
[2010-01-06 10:03:25 CET] <main> null
[2010-01-06 10:03:25 CET] <main> Waiting for requests...
I'm not sure if that is an issue as all functionality seems to be okay aside
from that line, the woa loads when I go to front1, etc. I am able to
ping/ssh by using "ping app1" but that's cause I have "search vm.example.net"
set up in /etc/resolv.conf
If I use the fully qualified name when starting the wotaskds (-WOHost
app1.vm.example.net) and configure the hosts in Javamonitor the same, I am
is unable to stop running application instances (however javamonitor will
start them just fine) - it doesn't even show the animated shutdown status
image.
Any insights?
