Hi,

I apologize if this is the incorrect list for this question...I have deployed an app to Tomcat as SSDD. The WO app functions correctly. However, I want to have some JSPs accessible to the user as well.

I followed the example given in Practical WebObjects for JSP/WO and applied the ideas to my app. Specifically, I use the <wo:component> tag to include a component named "Main".

The problem is that when the page renders, the component is not shown as HTML, but a string of misc characters.

For example, the JSP is:

<%@ taglib uri="/WOtaglib" prefix="wo" %>
<html>
        <body>
                Component appears below:
                <p/>
                <wo:component className="Main"/>
        </body>
</html>

...and the resulting rendered page is:

<html>
<body>
Component appears below:
<p/>
???o?6???Wp|???vm"?? ??...@i??5????~w??(??X??<?????E??? _??-??Vd?????%??N/?????Y?2d??'Jh?\}?X?4A3 ????oV?R?1?L]????^Dh?? $*??R8N0?D?[????M??t=p????$-???????7?? ??...@?k?q??t???`??g????x ? \??+?? B??m|??Rm???{????byw?,bX?AU? +??C???
</body>
</html>

Has anyone had this happen? I don't know if this is a deployment issue or something to do with the component...it's just a simple ERXComponent with some login fields

Thanks in advance,

Daniel Roy
