Hi, Nathan,

Though I don't have an answer for you, you might try posting the question to Apple's Xcode mailing list

     [EMAIL PROTECTED]

It has several Xcode heavies answering questions, a few from inside Apple. Xcode is clearly getting better support overall than WO, but that's probably because so many more internal Apple developers are using Xcode than are using WO.

HTH.

Regards,
Jerry

I have tried setting up an External Target in XCode to issue Ant, but it doesn't run it as root which is needed to copy certain directories. Whenever I'm ready to Deploy, I essentially just want to change the Configuration to 'Deployment' and hit Command-B to set off Ant and that's it. I am very confused with how exactly to deal with the targets which seems like the only way I can accomplish what I want to do with Ant ??? I have read through all the documentation on XCode targets but I am still confused because I can't get it to work.

I have setup an External Target in XCode and changed the build tool to '/Developer/Java/Ant/bin/ant' and I receive 'permissions' errors with the "AntDeploy" target set to active and this is because it is running it as the logged in User and not root of course. Aside all that, am I missing something here ?

thanks,
Nathan
