My bet (This is purely a guess with no inside info other than what's announced today):
Conroe based machines will likely be deliverable by August/September, ie, "Mac Pro" or whatever they name it. That would be a good reason to delay WWDC. This will include Intel EM64T and the newer single-execution SSE instructions, where are very relavent to the any OSX release.
