Hola!

(sorry for the cross-posting, but I wanted to start using the new list... being sure most of you are not subscribed (yet?))

I had just read a massage which suggest that we should not do the currently discussed WO site...

If you are talking about the WO community, a hell lot of people want it to happen. Why ? Because we need a site with links to all resources, a site for doing WO '"hype/marketing", a site where we can send customers to it to show that we can a community and that WO is not dead, etc. WikiBooks and WOCode are not good sites for this.

it make sense, in a sense, because there are others attempts spread out there, so what is the reason to duplicate efforts??

We should do something else!!
I mean, not to repeat what it is done, but something complementary to:

wodev had been absorbed by wikipedia (which I consider a nice move), so let us do a non-encyclopaedic wiki; just an informal one which announce to us the running projects' status, with their respective links.

webobjects-dev lists (at apple and at omnigroup) should be to discuss technicalities as to give support to each other, while keeping WOCOM to discuss the projects' related material.

and the most important: the open source which is —will be— related to WO, while it can live in sourceforge.net and opensource.org too, will be better if centralised in a site of us, the WO community.
