Hi Ryan,

I'm using IB with Xcode all the time, have dragged entities from EOModeler to IB, but not had these problems. (I skipped 2.2, went straight from 2.1/5.2.4 to 2.3/5.3.1 and now 2.4/5.3.2). Did you try 2.4 on a clean machine, maybe there are problems with other files in 2.2. Also no problems adding a DG from the palette. The one problem that I usually get is quitting IB tends to hang Xcode, but that's no where near as annoying as you are getting.

Not much help, but I suspect something is out of whack in your installation.

Anyone else developing a Java Client app notice that Interface Builder crashes whenever you try to change anything related to an editing context or display group?

If I drag and drop an entity from EOModeler to IB, it usually gives me an infinite spinning beach ball and also freezes XCode at the same time.

Trying a different approach, I just tried adding a new display group by dragging the object out of the EO palette in IB (instead of an entity from EOModeler). When deleting the new display group (which I hadn't changed anything on), IB froze.

Very annoying and almost impossible to work with. Any quick fixes or ideas?

IB Version 2.5.3 (443)
XCode Version 2.2 (IDE: 655.0, Core 658.0, ToolSupport: 651.0).

PS: I have tried this on the newer XCode/IB version (latest as of a week ago) an the same things happened..

Thanks,

-Ryan
