Thank you all for your help. This is what we did which seems to solve the
problem:

Edit the file ...YourApp.woa\Contents\Windows\CLSSPATH.TXT

And change the line
# JVM == java

To read something like (give the explicit path to JVM)
# JVM == c:\jdk1.4.2_04\jre\bin\java.exe
