I'm wondering about turning the timeout up significantly for webservice uploads of binary data but accepting the default values for other requests. Any ideas or alternatives?
For uploads, I tend to undertake this with a large number of small requests that all append their bits of data into a large bit of data in the application server or streamed into somewhere rather than one large request. This is what I do with my JSON-RPC infrastructure anyway.
