Thanks for your replies. But let me get this straight, there is no
such thing built into the xhtml definition as a standard? Is it me,
or does this seem *incredibly* illogical? So every web designer that
wants to keep his pages somewhat organized, and wants to avoid
duplicate code, simply has to go for external solutions (ssi, php, WO
page wrapping, whatever...)? It just seems so .... silly?
Well, I'll just have to see what to do about this, maybe ssi (have to
see if .mac supports it), or maybe I'll just write a process to
perform automatic updates directly on my files before uploading them.
Damn, I thought I was just missing it.

p.s. - could not find the solution in the books I am leaning from,
nor by goggling. Books say nothing of it, goggle produce the above
said, but that seems more like a hack than anything.
