If you feel like being a guinea pig here is a script you can use
on leopard for switching between WO 5.4 and WO 5.3 when using
eclipse+wolips. It's lightly tested on my system, ie, I just
knocked it up a little while ago, and it didn't break anything,
that I noticed.
The script automagically downloads and installs the WO 5.3.3
runtime into /Developer/WebObjects53 and allows you to switch
your wobuild.properties between the two WO installs by typing
'woswitch 54' or 'woswitch 53'
Maybe it'd be worth creating a port for this (i.e., in MacPorts)
I'm not sure I could justify the effort right now. What advantage
would there be in doing this?
None I guess... apart from minimising efforts when upgrading to
Leopard -- purely selfish reasons :-). e.g., just reinstall all my
ports and away I go ;-)
But sure, it's probably not worth the effort. Easier to put up on
objectstyle somewhere.
