Ahg. Say it in one email. Contradict it in another. It's almost
biblical.
Not at all, not at all. "The database is just an artifact of
implementation" is in reference to some overly anal hand wringing
about the tables generated for inheritance.
If you want / need to optimize, then you must come to grips with the
vagaries of your implementation.
