I am having trouble saving the date of birth of "old" people. There
seems to be something wrong with any date before 4/1/1918. When we try
to save a birthdate that is before that date, it is saved after
subtracting one day. If the DOB is 3/15/1918, it is saved in the DB as
3/14/1918. When it is retrieved from the DB, it is displayed as 3/14/08.
We had a problem with daylight savings time earlier this year. Is this
a similar problem? Is there something special about March 31, 1918 or
April 1?
I have worked around the problem by adding a day to the NSTimestamp
before saving to DB if the date is before 4/1/1918. This is a very
unsatisfying solution.
I am using WO5.3, with wonder, on leopard. This happens in both
development and deployment.
