Hi,
I haven't used the 9i driver on x86 since that was back when I was
using ppc, but now I use the 10g driver on x86 and it works fine. I
think the 10g driver is also compatible with the 9i database. You
might try it instead of the 9i driver and see if that fixes the problem.

Found out that this problem only occurs on i386, on ppc it works as
expected (same ojdbc14 driver). I'm a bit confused...
