Apple's documentation is good to have on hand, but never hold your breath for updates and make sure you keep looking at other places for documentation.
In Apple's defense here, I'm not sure I've ever seen them write documentation for an open source 3rd party product before ... So it's actually kind of a cool step.

And the whole toolset IS a moving target so having totally up to date documentation it is a bit of an impossible task. I am very happy to see Apple start doing this.
