Hello Chan;
One possibility is to use "cron" on UNIX and use "curl" to hit a DA in
your WOA. From there it can;
a) do the task straight away in the R-R cycle
b) do the task in a background thread on the same VM
c) offload the task to a bank of batch-processing VMs to run in a
constrained thread pool
