I think it was this one: http://exchange.nagios.org/directory/Plugins/Java-Applications-and-Servers/check_jmx/details There are pages from Sun that give a good description of how to turn on access to the JMX information. The one I had found is this: http://download.oracle.com/javase/1.5.0/docs/guide/management/agent.html I have used this on development machines. Some of our deployed machines seems to have a version of Java that is incompatible with these instructions, but that may just be on us. I have not had time to re-investigate.
