Hi everyone,

I'm back in the WO land after a pause of about 7 years. I decided to start new
apps using wonder. The framework is huge like someone said but I think the
worst things after the lack of beginner documentation are some strange
behaviors, including some patterns that works sometimes.

My first one is a very simple case, ERXLocalizer has an internal mechanism to
track created keys (not found keys) but the localizedValueForKey method do not
register not found keys and this is the method called when using the very
useful "[localizer.key]" bindings in components. Is there a rational behind
this? I can change the source and push but maybe this was intentional.

Another very simple one on the localization topic, if the preferred encoding is
UTF-8 everywhere, why Localized.strings files are not read using this encoding
by default (the current default is the VM file encoding and fall back to
UTF-16...) At least the Wonder project template should include these lines:
er.extensions.ERXApplication.DefaultEncoding=UTF-8
er.extensions.ERXApplication.DefaultMessageEncoding=UTF-8
file.encoding=UTF-8

My last for now is a even more strange, the WOOgnl shortcuts (wo:str,
wo:localized,...) works sometimes and sometimes not but the full component name
always works. Any idea why?

Samuel
