Kevin I was thinking about rename component when I replied previously. Refactor rename wocomponent will change both the .wo and the .java directory and files.
To restore the project to a previous state, I would say that you should be using git or svn, and you could just rollback. Other than that you would have to manually clean up the .java file of the component.
